After renovation, a home or office in Bahrain needs more than a regular clean — dust from cutting, sanding and plastering settles into every seam, and paint marks, adhesive residue and fine particulate need proper removal before the space is usable. Here’s what to expect and how to prepare.

What’s different about post-renovation dust?

Renovation dust is finer and stickier than household dust — it gets into window tracks, cabinet interiors, light fittings, AC vents and the seams of new fixtures. It also carries a slight adhesive or plaster smell that ordinary cleaning can’t shift. The job is less “tidy” and more “extract”: pull the fine dust out of the places it hides, remove the marks, and get the space ready to live or work in.

How do you prepare the space?

  • Get the builders to clear their debris first — the site should be down to dust and marks, not offcuts
  • Let any wet finishes cure — paint and sealant need their recommended time before cleaning near them
  • Protect new surfaces — cover delicate finishes where you’ll be moving through
  • Open a few windows if the dust is heavy — it helps the air clear

What does the clean cover?

  • Top-down dusting — ceilings, light fittings, wall fixtures, tops of cabinets and doors
  • Inside cabinets and drawers — including new joinery and fitted wardrobes
  • Windows and frames — glass, frames and tracks where fine dust settles
  • Floor details — vacuuming and mopping, including edges, corners and behind radiators or units
  • Marks and residue — paint spots on glass and floors, adhesive residue, marks on new fixtures
  • Washrooms and kitchens — full detail, including new fittings and appliances

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the space and how much dust and marking the work left behind. A light refresh after cosmetic work takes less than a full renovation with plaster, cutting or new joinery — we assess the scope before quoting so you know what to expect.

Frequently asked questions

When should I book post-renovation cleaning?

After the main work is done and the builders have cleared their debris — but before you move furniture back in. We'll assess the scope and quote accordingly.

Does post-renovation cleaning include waste removal?

No — we clean dust, debris and marks left behind. Construction waste removal and debris hauling need a licensed waste contractor; we'll confirm scope for your job.

How is it different from a regular deep clean?

It's deeper — dust in every seam, paint marks on glass and floors, adhesive residue, and the fine particulate that settles inside cabinets and on high surfaces.

Do you clean inside new cabinets and fixtures?

Yes — we clean interiors of new cabinets, drawers and fixtures as part of the scope, where the job calls for it.
